Bacon Cheeseburger
I had you at either Bacon or Cheeseburger, ha! This Bacon Cheeseburger is unlike other Bacon Cheeseburgers out there, and here is why. Go ahead. Take a good look at the photo below.
Now, wipe the drool off your face and tell me: Do you see any bacon? No?! That, friends, is why this Bacon Cheeseburger is unlike any other out there.
The smoky bacon is ground or minced and mixed into the ground beef to become that secret ingredient you will have the choice of giving or not giving away to others. Make it with this homemade hamburger bun to get a bacon burger that’s both picture perfect and incredibly tasty.
Why Homemade Burger?
Making a homemade burger takes little effort, gives you control over the ingredients, quality and cut of meat, and the flavor simply cannot be beat. It also takes care of that picky eater and that gourmand in your family–a duo that’s usually hard to please. Also, did I mention it takes little effort? Just believe me.
Why Camouflage the Bacon?
Adding bacon to your homemade patty will not only make your burger juicier but will also give it that smokey flavor currently missing from your homemade burger. Not only that, but it evens out the bacon flavor for one to taste in every bite.
Can You Freeze Hamburger Patties?
You can freeze raw patties by placing them in a single layer into a freezer bag. You can also freeze cooked patties the same way.
Should I Thaw the Frozen Hamburger Patty Before Cooking?
If time allows, it is best to defrost the patties in the refrigerator before cooking them. Cooking them frozen works well though it compromises the texture, shape, and evenness of the patty.

i am SO craving one of these burgers right now.. they look so delicious!
Thanks Thalia!
That looks good! I will try making it my own from now on. My family and me are very picky as far as the cleanliness of the food preparation process. That’s why we very are rarely eat out, maybe on special occasions. Our lesson: ones I bought a cheeseburger at McDonald’s for my 3 year old daughter, and was watching it being made. The cook wiped off the ketchup and what ever was on around it of the counter top and then wrapped the cheeseburger. 🙁
Thanks Valya! Yeah, fast food places are not exactly known for their cleanliness ))) But hey, there’s at least one reason why burgers should be homemade 🙂
Yum! Is all I can say!
I have never made homemade burger before, but now I want to try. I wanted to ask you girl how many burgers does this come out to be?
Hi Lucy,
I got about 22 or 24 I think 🙂 If you want to make them thicker, just fill the 1/2 cup measuring cup a little more, but you will get less of them 🙂
