Fall Off the Bone Pork Ribs

Grilling season is almost over, so it means that it’s time to say hello to indoor cooking. Luckily, with my recipe for these tender, juicy and succulent Fall Off the Bone Pork Ribs most of the magic is done by the oven itself, which leaves you plenty of time to read a book, or two.

Pork ribs are not diet food and contain a good amount of fat. It’s what makes the meat so tender and good, but without any kind of sauce or rub, it can be a bit much. The Homemade Sweet & Tangy BBQ Sauce is the perfect companion though for these ribs, it cuts down on the richness and brings enough acidity to make my Pork Ribs the best ribs you will ever have.

Forget forks and knives, you’ll want to use your hands and bite and lick off every last little piece of meat off the bone!

Low and slow is the way to go when it comes to pork ribs. You want to make the meat tender while not drying it out, so cooking it for a couple hours while tightly wrapped in foil will lock the moisture in while slowly braking down the fibers. It’s perfect time to make your own BBQ Sauce as well, with zero preservatives and a ton of flavor.

Fall Off The Bone Pork Ribs with Homemade BBQ Sauce

Ingredients for Fall Off The Bone Pork Ribs:

  • racks of pork ribs

Dry Rub:

  • dry ranch powder/seasoning
  • ground pepper
  • kosher salt
  • onion powder
  • pickling spice

Homemade BBQ Sauce – make it while the ribs are cooking

Preparation:



Toss the ingredients for the dry rub together and stir.

Sprinkle the dry rub all over the meat and press it in with your hands.

Place ribs on a foil lined baking sheet, tightly cover the top with another sheet of aluminum foil encasing the ribs inside.

Preheat oven oven to 450F and bake for 25 minutes, then turn heat down to 250F and cook for another 3 hours until the meat is easily pierced with a fork and comes off the bone. Remove the top foil and brush both sides of the ribs with the my Homemade BBQ sauce or another BBQ sauce of choice. Turn oven to broil for 5-7 minutes and allow to brown on both sides. Alternatively, transfer to grill and quickly grill on both sides for the char marks and smoky flavor.

    Marina! I made these today. Started baking before we left for church. When we got home, lunch was ready. They are trully fall off the bone ribs. Although, i was short on time and didn’t do the homemade bbq sauce, they were still delish!!! Thank you for sharing another great recipe.
