Cinderella Cake & Cupcakes

Cinderella themed cake and cupcakes for a little girl. The cake was topped with a white pearl Cinderella shoe and the cupcakes had gentle blue fondant flower toppers.

Recently I made a cake for little girl’s 5th birthday. The theme was “Cinderella”. So what better cake topper then the Cinderella shoe? Here are some pictures of what I’ve got. I also made mini cupcakes to match the main cake.

I really enjoyed making the topper and the little flowers – I felt like a kid, once again 🙂

Hated covering the cake with the fondant though, I sweat like crazy when I cover the cake with fondant, as I am deathly afraid that it will not lay properly and I’ll either get cracks, ‘elephant skin’, or something else that’s going to send my heart rate up and add a gray hair or two to my head.

But I think this Cinderella cake looked pretty good in the end and that’s all I needed 🙂
