Farfalle w/ Turkey & Veggies

This is one of those dinners that will go in the “dinner in 30 minutes” folder, as well as ‘healthy’, or ‘not so bad for ya’ folder. Nothing fancy, in fact, pretty primitive, but oh so delicious! Turkey is pretty lean and vegetables give this dish vibrancy and color. My sister brought this over a couple of days ago and I was reminded once more that all good things are simple! I love it when my dear sister drops in with some food, because not only am I glad to see her, but it also means that I do not have to cook! Win, win, for me 😀

IMG_0274If you’re not watching your figure, use cream to give the dish some added flavor and creaminess. If you are, just replace it with water, to help cook the broccoli & bell peppers.

Farfalle w/ Turkey & Veggies

Serves: Serves 4 people


  • 1 lb Farfalle Pasta
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 8 mini bell peppers, sliced (or 2 bell peppers (reg. size))
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled, pressed
  • ⅓ – ½ cups water or heavy cream
  • Oil
  • Salt


  1. Cook pasta according to package directions.
  2. Sauté diced onion with some oil in a sauté pan.
  3. Add ground turkey and separating the meat with a wooden spoon let cook until the moisture evaporates. Let it brown slightly continuously stirring with a spoon.
  4. Add 2 tsp salt (or to taste), pressed garlic, broccoli florets & bell pepper, stir. Cook with the lid on, adding about ⅓ –1/2 cup water or cream to the mixture, and stirring as needed.
  5. Add pasta, stir. Adjust amount of salt if needed. Serve.
